Randy "No-Nose" Dean Turner

RANDY DEAN “NO-NOSE” TURNER, age 66, of Roxboro, NC passed away Saturday afternoon, April 13, 2024 at his home. 

Mr. Turner was born February 22, 1958 in Person County, NC, son of the late Jessie Lee & Pearl Dean Wagner Turner.   He was retired from Buckner Steel as a crane operator and was a member of the Sons of The American Legion, Post 1097 of Danville, VA.

Randy was an avid Carolina fan and enjoyed motorcycle riding, river tubing on the New River, and spending time with his family & friends.   

Surviving are his nephew, Chris Ragan & wife, Patricia of Rougemont, NC, niece, Ginny R. Brosnan & husband, Dan of Trent Woods, NC, great-niece, Rebecca Goodwin & husband, Nick of Havelock, NC, long-time companion, Vicki Gentry, and a host of friends. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Turner is preceded in death by a sister, Linda Ragan, and pet dog, Reese.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2024 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. Patrick Sinclair officiating.  Interment will follow in the Person Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and guests from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Timmy Bowman, Rodney Clayton, Bob Jackson, Larry Jackson, Don Oakley, and David Wilson.  Honorary pallbearers will be, Scott Gentry, and Steve Wilson.
